The building was part of the "Best Western" hotel chain, but for several years now it had been vandalized and in a state of abandonment.

Following its sale, managed by Expertise Re, and thanks to the determination and commitment made by a group of local entrepreneurs who believed in the potential of the property, a renovation process began in the disused hotel which will convert it into a building with 60 apartments, garages and cellars inside.

The works currently underway include both structural interventions, which will increase its level of resistance to earthquakes, and adjustments aimed at transforming it into an eco-friendly property.

This sale will give the opportunity to 60 families to change their lifestyle, 60 families will have the opportunity to live in new apartments with low environmental impact.

It would therefore be reductive to look at this sale simply as an act of redevelopment of a building, rather we should consider it as a starting point for the renewal of the territory and the social context that revolves around it.
