From a Disused Residential Building to Unires Battiati: Expertise RE’s Catania Transaction

Around two years ago, Expertise RE brokered the sale of an entire residential building in Sant’Agata Li Battiati, near Catania. The property, covering approximately 1,200 sqm with a large outdoor area, was no longer in use.

After its purchase, the building underwent an extensive renovation and was converted into a university residence. It is now home to Unires Battiati, part of the HOMA Campus network, with 16 rooms and 25 beds.

The renovation brought the unused building back into active use, creating accommodation for students. The residence is operated by HOMA Campus.

The sale brokered by Expertise RE marked the beginning of this process. The subsequent renovation and change of use have given the building a new identity and brought it back to life.
